Theresa and I have been prayerfully considering how we can best serve our neighbors, our community, and our region at large. With the announcement of an open State Senate seat in district 29, we strongly believe this is the answer we have been seeking. It is our humble privilege to announce that I will am seeking election to the State Senate, serving District 29 which includes Muscogee, Harris, Meriwether, and Troup.
Actively involved in civic and political issues for nearly three decades, I have sought to create a safer community during my career as a Law Enforcement Officer with the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office. I continue to advocate for those who wear the badge through his involvement with the Fraternal Order of Police and fights on local and state level for better pay, a stable pension plan, and healthcare initiatives.
My family and I feel that the time has come for me to offer myself as a servant in the public arena. I intend to bring some of those common sense ideas straight from the people to the Georgia State Senate.
While Public Safety is an issue that is near and dear to my heart, I am also committed to strengthening our infrastructure, striving for excellence in education, and creating and developing an environment that encourages entrepreneurship and small businesses to thrive. I want to share these ideas with you and get your feedback. I am eagerly anticipating opportunities to meet with you!
I am excited at the possibility of serving the people of the 29th State Senate District. But before I can serve, I must conduct a very aggressive campaign. Our momentum is strong and we want to continue to build on that over the course of the next 12+ months. We will be working to meet with as many constituents as possible. We have a lot of ground to cover and while we are excited to be first out of the gate, we also know that an opponent is likely.
To be successful in this endeavor it will take a very strong and dedicated grassroots organization. I believe the voters of this district will step forward with my family in a united volunteer effort. As you may have guessed, my wife is already hard at work, building an army of volunteers and our winning team. We are encouraged by those who have already come forward, ready to volunteer and work towards victory!
With four counties to cover, campaign expenses will be vast, and I need help. I am turning to the people who have known me the longest, who know me best, and humbly invite you to get involved in my campaign and help make a difference.
Your early contribution, made payable to “Robertson for Georgia” will give our race a tremendous boost. Your gift of $250, $500, $1,000, or $2,500 will help me raise the vital “early seed money” I need to successfully launch this campaign.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 by the first reporting deadline on June 30th, and I humbly ask for your support in helping us rise to this great challenge.
Thanks in advance for your encouragement, generous support, and prayers. Theresa and I are both grateful for your friendship!
